Well hello Eva Maria! The other day while blog hopping I came across a blog called Eva Maria Keiser Designs. The same day Shirley over at Beads and Bread sent me an email with a link to the same blog! I was already in awe of Eva Maria's work, but getting Shirley's email assured me that learning from Eva Maria's tutorials was in my future.
After you finish drooling over Eva Maria's creations, you will notice that she provides numerous tutorials that may be used to weave awesome creations! In a weaving tutorial I did a few weeks ago (Day 93), tsummerlee (the artist) was talking while she was demonstrating the beading lesson on the video. She said something to the effect that she was going to share her beading talents and secrets so that they would go on and on and not stop with her. She also explained that society and intelligence was built on sharing. So thank you to Eva Maria, tsummerlee, and all the other artists out there who have shared their knowledge with me over the last 100 or so days. I so appreciate it, and promise to do the same. :-)
Now, back to the business at hand, the Pondering Pod Primer. Using delicas and size 15/0 beads the tutorial instructs you to make a little cup looking kind of a thing called a pod. As indicated in the tutorial this is one unit.
Cute huh? Now, what one does with this pod I have no idea, but in the comments section of the post Eva Maria promises more lessons on the pod are to come.
Eva Maria, you had me at hello.
Pondering Pod Primer, conquered.

Oohh, I'm so glad you made it! I was just looking at it about 30 seconds ago. LOL! I'm thinking it would be part of a flower, or maybe zip two together to make a hollow pod?? BTW, love you new bloggy look!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Easter!
i was thinking the same thing--zip it. or fill it. or make another one and put it on top and zip it so it is football-shaped. this is a really cute little piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mandy for the wonderful write up. Next week we are going to explore further the "pod-sibilities". May you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Mandy for sharing your learning process!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring!
I'm so enjoying following your process and seeing what you create each day! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletehow cute... I cant wait to see were this idea goes... very cute.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell how big it is, but it looks like it might make a cute beadcap for a large focal bead.
