| Tinkerbell Earring |
First a shout out to KJ at KJ's Beadacious Beads who sent me this link to use as the first lesson of the second half of my project! Thanks so much for thinking of me!
Today's pattern is for these cute little Tinkerbell Earrings designed by Mariposa. She has generously offered the pattern for free on her blog Mariposa's Treasure Chest. This is a German blog, but she offers the download in both German and English. How cool is that?
To make the earrings you first make a little bell shaped bead cap and then a little disk with 3mm drops. Then you string them all together and attach to an earring wire. Ta-da! You have an earring! I made a few changes to the pattern, I used size 13 charlottes in place of the 15/0 beads, a nugget of Adventurine instead of the drop bead, and instead of stringing on a head pin, I threaded everything on some Fireline, went around a few times and added a little beaded loop and jump ring to the top. I only did this because I tried using the headpin and I can't make a loop to save my soul!
Very cute earring and Mariposa adds little humorous quips throughout the pattern to keep you going!

very very cute! i am the same way---i try and bead a loop instead of using wire. way out of my comfort zone with wire.
